Black money: Apex court pulls up Govt for inaction over last six decades-Hindu Business Line 26.03.2014
NEW DELHI, MAR 26:
The Supreme Court has pulled up the Centre for failure to take steps during last six decades to bring back black money deposited in foreign banks.
Economy, per capita income, would have gone up and the income-tax rate would have reduced if money in foreign banks had been brought to India, the apex court said.
The Supreme Court rejected the Centre’s plea against setting up a SIT to monitor and probe the issue of black money inside and outside the country.
